I ordered to go tonight and the Hot Singapore I got home with was not what i was expecting at all! :( Icalled them back and they let me bring my food back and made me some Pork Kow and it was amazing! Perfect customer service!! Thank you Jade Garden!!

Huge portions, fairly tasty but nothing special, poor service - not crowded but took 25 minutes to take our order

Great food. A bit pricey for food that is good but plenty of other places that are better and cheaper. Delivery drivers have always been so nice I always tip them good and better than what I buy lol

I really love how they make their panfried noodles as well as their shrimp fried rice which is made better than other Chinese restaurants I've been to. Their crab ragoon is very good as well. Employees are nice, and check on you a good amount. Take out if you order, when you get there, is a short wait even with people coming and going.

This is a predictably great restaurant to enjoy Chinese food. The food is outstanding, served promptly, hot, and delicious. The staff are so friendly, always available, unobtrusively looking to make our dining experience special. A quiet, pleasant place.

Great service and food.

I had a hair in my food and so did another person that was with me. I didn't find mine until I was done eating. The food gave me indigestion too. I used to like eating here never had a problem. I will stick with the Jade Garden in Portage never had any problems there.

Let me start by saying that it is hard to write this review because the people there were so nice.Recent reviews are correct, the dishes there now have way for vegetables than meat. The egg rolls did not have any flavor to speak of. Water and white rice was excellent!I hope they do something to turn it around.

We're done getting food from this place. Always have enjoyed their food but for the past seven times we've ordered take out and get home and they screwed up order. Final straw.. sweet and sour chicken was so over cooked the dog wouldn't eat it. Have to find another Chinese restaurant.

We have been fans of Jade Garden takeout for years but just visited with a group of friends and was very impressed with their recent remodeling too. Very happy to see that the aquarium survived the change which our children always loved!My wife loves the milder items of Moo Shu Chicken and Hot Singapore Chow Mai while I like the hotter items of Spicy, Szechuan, or Mongolian chicken or beef. They can adjust the heat as you request and I always order extra spicy. Today, however, I tried General Tso's Chicken because the menu says "chicken sauteed in a delightful chef's brown sauce" but, sadly, it was deep-fried and definitely NOT sauteed as described. It was very good, and slightly sweet, but not what I wanted (but my wife liked it!). And it is also disappointing that their red wine is refrigerated, not simply chilled. But all-in-all, great quality, preparation, and portions.As a bonus, after dinner our server gentleman, Xiong, did a few magic tricks. He fooled all of us!

It is not the best not the worst. The food is good and the dining room looks clean. This is also true of the china house but parking is on the street and sometimes not easy to close parking. Jade garden is in a strip mall with parking lot.

The best Chinese food in valpo. Everything is made fresh to order and is always very good. They are very reasonably priced and always really fast with getting your food ready. I won't eat at any other Chinese place they have been my favorite for years.

Jade Garden is about everything you could ask for in a small-town Chinese restaurant. The food is always well prepared, the staff members are efficient and polite (some are even fun), and the facility is always clean. My litmus test for Chinese restaurants is their treatment of broccoli - and they cook it excellently at Jade. Their location is in one of those unfortunate strip malls, but after going there a couple times, you tend to forget that your aren't in downtown Chicago! Nice restaurant.

We order some beef noodle soup and the noodle is sticking together. The beef taste dry and hard as if it was overnight. Other meal we order was extremely salty, i couldnt finish eating it.

We love Jade Garden! We've been long time customers of theirs. The lunch menu combos are to die for, I had pork chop suey/ & pork egg foo young with fried rice. With lunch you get complimentary soup & a pot of hot tea. We both took home some of the generous portions of our entrees & left paying under $20.00 with the tip! 🥡 If you have a taste for Chinese, do yourself a favor, take a ride to Valpo for a great hot lunch.

Best sweet-and-sour chicken around!

Love the deep fried chicken with peapods! Restaurant has been remodeled and is quite lovely. Menu is pretty traditional Chinese entrees but they prepare them very well.

I would love to rate them higher, but I've eaten there for times, and giving them one star is generous. Food was not even middle of the road. Nice staff, though. Very considerate and friendly.

In my opinion, this restaurant is definitely the best Chinese in town. Everything I have had from this restaurant is amazing! Their decor is absolutely beautiful as well! I recommend their crab rangoons, fried rice, and chicken rice soup! (mix the fried rice and chicken rice soup together if you really wanna blow your mind!)

I adore this place, they will make your food exactly how you like it(i order shrimp fried rice, extra extra dark, extra green onions, extra sprouts and shrimp fried rice extra extra spicy with extra egg and shrimp egg foo yung I'm lobster sauce..NOT GRAVY (don't know how to spell it lol).. EACH AND EVERY TIME SINCE 1989 THEY ALWAYS MAKE MY FOOD PERFECT, AND IF NOT.. THEY EXCHANGE IT FOR THE CORRECT WAY NO PROBLEMS.. when i moved to CaliforniaI ACTUALLY MISSED JADE GARDEN. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND ORDER FROM HERE. TELL THEM NICOLE SENT YOU(JOYCE MCDONALD GRANDCHILD) MY GMA IS THEIR #1 FOODIE.

I have been to this restaurant multiple times and have never been disappointed. Sometimes I get delivery as well. They are always on time and the food is always delicious. I’ve never had any sort of problem. It’s nice to have great Chinese is Valparaiso

Been eating here 20+ years and it's still great. Large menu with meat, seafood, and vegetarian options. I always get the Singapore chow mein. Large portions so I usually get two meals out of my entreé, especially after some pot stickers and soup. They deliver, too.

the general so chicken Was loaded with ginger like crazy and was not even spicy at all even my 5 year old was able to try it and he can't handle heat at all!we always get this when we go places and never had it like this!was gross af! we refused to eat it, and even after telling the waiter the manager refused to remake or not charge and he refused and said we had to pay for it! Everything else we had was good though! Beef fried rice, beef almond ding! Manager a douch!

My daughter and I went here to eat lunch, we enjoyed it a lot. We loved their tea, and the service was exceptional. Great enjoyable restauraunt. Love it!!

The lo mein is very overcooked and flavorless! The chicken was very oily and taste like old oil. The only thing good is the fried rice. Will not go back here!

The food was delicious! There was only one server so you need to be a bit patient but it was worth the wait. The serving size is worth the price as well!

Servers here are always very pleasant, haven't been for a while, but they had always been consistent in the past with the food they prepare. This time it was off, not as much meat and vegetables in my no spice hot Singapore chow mi,( last word spelling, not sure if right.)it had way to many of the noodles in comparison to what I usually get. Will go back, hoping it was just an off day, new cook perhaps. Still tasted good.

This is the only place that I order Kung Po Chicken because they were always consistent in making it. Never have I ever had CELERY 🤢 in it, until about 6 months ago. I loathe the taste of it, and now it is so overpowered with celery that it all tastes like it. 🤮 If you ask for the celery to be removed, they put other veggies in it that do not belong. I wish that I could get it the way it was made before.
